A message to sensible people in Israel on Hamas and Iran’s no Israel stance

We have been listening the concerns of western and Israeli people over the statements by Iran or Hamas or Hezbollah who don’t accept Israel. There are few things which Israelis and the supporters of Israel should understand in this situation.

First is that if Israel keeps creating Gaza like situation then this idea will take more firm roots. In 1947 when UN was voting for partition, even Muslim countries like Pakistan first approached Arabs to take part in the voting and support the partition. The main demand of Arabs at that time was that Israel and its supporters need to give them proper assurances that Israel will not go for expansionism.

Even I and many Muslims/Arabs support the two state solution of middle east but if Israel keeps killing Palestinians, keeps expanding its territory and keeps the blockade then I don’t think Israel will remain with peace and will always face this existential problem especially with emerging new ways of asymmetric warfare. They need to realize that not everyone buys the “Chosen People” logic which they have sold to Americans and Europeans for a long time.

For many the idea looks absurd that a group of people leaves the land thousands of years ago based on their own will (or the will of the God) and then comes back to forcefully reclaim their promised land from people who remained in the area and most of them converted to another religion. Even Orthodox Jews and Many Bible believing Christians including Bethlehem Church doesn’t buy the whole idea.

If Israel wants peace and proper recognition then it needs to come out of the Stern Gang mentality they are showing for many decades. Many of them even include Jordan as part of their promised land plan and Jordan is the one which recognizes Israel. Israel uses holocaust as an excuse to cover up what it is doing but without keeping in context that it was Europe which persecuted them for centuries and it was Nazis who did the holocaust. Muslims and Ottomans especially gave them refuge in the are and allowed them to live, buy properties, do businesses and farming, and hold high government positions. Even in early 20th century days there were many stories of how Muslims at that time supported and protected the persecuted Jews ( http://www.nytimes.com/2011/10/04/movies/how-a-paris-mosque-sheltered-jews-in-the-holocaust.html?pagewanted=all&_r=0 ).

A lot has happened in last 6-7 decades which has added to the bitterness and blockade or bombing of Gaza (simply to test its Iron dome project) will not help any cause. Israel thinks that with USA backed military superiority, it will keep doing what it is doing but in changing Middle East and rise of new poles (Palestinian voting should give some idea) will not give it an easy time. Even today many Arabs/Palestinians and other Muslims can accept 1947 plan but again Israel has to quit its expansionism plans and violations of human rights.

Israel needs to understand one basic thing:

No Justice No Peace!

Israeli terrorism continues–> Attack and blockade of humanitarian aid ship SV Estelle en route to Gaza

Israeli has kept its reputation of violating international treaties of human rights and laws regarding international waters. This time it has attacked and blocked another humanitarian aid ship heading for Palestinian territory.

More than 125 countries now accept Palestine as a sovereign state but Israeli aggression against civilians and occupation of Palestinian land is still going on. It seems UN is helpless against Israel as most of the so called big powers and so called civilized governments don’t mind what Israel is doing but in fact support Israel in many of its illegal and barbaric activities.

We condemn Israel for its brutalities against the people of Palestine who accepted them during Ottoman times on their land when whole world and especially Europe was persecuting them.

We salute to the brave and humanity loving people of the SV Estelle ship who came to help the people of Palestine without any prejudice.

Malala Issue, drones, NWA operation and fog of this fake war on terror

Recent events of march against drone strikes and attack on Malala Yousafzai have raised some important questions in my mind. These questions are mainly related to the timing of the event and how past events were dealt by the government and security institutions.

If Benazir Murder case is resolved then a lot can be understood about this fake war. For a start, one should ask that how was it possible that some rogue terrorists were able to delete or tempered the mobile communication record from the area? As far as I know that only ISI or some other high level intelligence organization like CIA (Like NADRA data they can surely access this data too) can do it.

These incidents like Benazir, Malala, Islamic University blast or Peshawar market blasts (denied by Talibans) happen at crucial times when anti-war protests take momentum or some crucial decisions are being made about further operations.

Another interesting event is the letter written by Afghan (Pentagon puppet) President Hamid Karzai to PTI’s Chairman, Imran Khan. For those who think that Malala issue is not related to drones and military operations or this fake war, there are few things to ponder upon (If they have the brain to do so). Why the president of a country would like to write a letter to Imran Khan and show the concerns which are shown by social-class and sectarian fascists in Pakistan and pro-imperialism media in USA? It seems Imran Khan and PTI’s march against drone strikes not only disturbed the plans of Pakistani sectarian and social-class fascists but also disturbed the pro-war scum internationally.

Another thing to understand about drone, NWA operation and Malala issue is that Imran Khan is scheduled to lead a protest in front of UN on 26th October 2012.

We need to find answers for these questions. For a start on Malala’s issue, government’s own interior minister Rehman Malik denied the involvement of TTP. Even if it is TTP then there are more than 15 (some say 30) groups working as TTP.

Some are fighting for revenge, some are being funded by international enemies of the country who want Pakistan to remain stuck in this war and some are local criminal gangs. Unless they are not identified clearly, word Taliban has no meaning. Free and Fair investigation can only be done in current scenario through Supreme Court or some investigation body working under SC. But again judiciary is being badly cornered by the government and army due to corruption and missing persons cases. That is why I say for a start we need to find the names behind Benazir murder case.

People say that these tribes and terrorists are ideologically connected. Ideologically connected is also a vague term. People with same customs, cultures or grievances  or may be some other common points can be termed as ideologically connected. With this logic most Indians can be termed as RSS, most USA can be connected to Bund or KKK, all Irish people can be termed as IRA, all British people can blamed for the crimes of East India Company, most Israelis can be linked with Stern gang, most Germans can be linked with Nazis etc. Without addressing the root causes, one cannot solve this issue and waging a war against populations after some isolated incidents doesn’t look very intelligent especially after a decade of destruction.

When are we going to learn the lessons from past mistakes? Or Pakistan army and government are committed to repeat another 1971?

Iran’s Earthquake and Sanctions

According to media reports, more than 300 people have died in Iran’s deadly twin earthquakes. Aid and rescue services from international channels are facing difficulty in reaching to Iran or sending support due to sanctions from USA and UN.

I don’t agree with Iran’s policies of spreading sectarianism across the region or supporting Assad’s brutal regime but I disagree with sanctions affecting civilian populations. These sanctions affect common people who don’t have much control over the policies of their govt. and especially in natural disaster type situations these sanctions are unjust and cruel.

In times like these, people should think beyond political or geo-strategic goals and differences. After all we are all humans and have same red colored blood.

Imran Khan: new trouble man for US in Pakistan–>Hamid Mir,TheNews

by Hamid Mir

Source : http://www.thenews.com.pk/TodaysPrintDetail.aspx?ID=75416&Cat=2

ISLAMABAD: Imran Khan is no more a cricketer turned politician. He has suddenly become an important regional player in the US endgame in Afghanistan.

A mind-blowing public rally of Imran Khan in Lahore on October 30 made it very difficult for the Zardari regime to give new commitments or accept any demands from the US to push its decade-long war against terror. Imran Khan has not only become a threat for traditional political parties inside Pakistan but is also going to become a big hurdle in the implementation of demands made by US during the recent visit of Hillary Clinton to Islamabad.

The PTI leader criticised not only President Asif Ali Zardari and Nawaz Sharif but also blasted US policies in the biggest-ever show of political power in Lahore in the past 25 years. The last time Lahore saw this kind of political tsunami was on April 10, 1986 when late Prime Minister Benazir Bhutto returned after many years in exile. A big reception to the daughter of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto was a bombshell for the then military dictator. Benazir Bhutto addressed a big rally in Iqbal Park, adjacent to the historical Lahore Fort. That rally was the beginning of General Zia’s end.

The October 30 rally by Imran Khan in the same Iqbal Park also looked like an end of pro-US policies started by General Pervez Musharraf ten years ago. Imran addressed US Secretary of State as “Chachi Clinton” (Aunty Clinton) and said a big no to any more army operations in Pakistan’s tribal areas. It will now be impossible for the ruling Pakistan People’s Party and its coalition partners to start new operations in North Waziristan or even continue the old operations from South Waziristan to Khyber Agency.  Elections are close and no political government can take the risk of going against public opinion.

Hillary Clinton is these days desperately looking for someone who can become a bridge between Afghan Taliban and the US. Imran Khan can make some serious efforts in this regard but is more focused on the situation inside Pakistan. He has offered his services for the engagement of Pakistani Taliban but wants assurances that there will be no more military operations.

Imran said all this just one day before the meeting of President Asif Ali Zardari with Afghan President Hamid Karzai in Istanbul. The US has arranged this meeting through Turkish President Abdullah Gull for the success of the Istanbul conference. Army Chief General Kayani also left for Turkey on Monday. Afghan officials will discuss the US endgame with Pakistan, India, Iran, China, Saudi Arabia, Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgystan, Uzbekistan, UAE, Turkey, US and UK in Istanbul Conference from November 1.

The US wants some commitments from Pakistan at this conference and that is why the Pakistani Army Chief is also invited to this conference. However, Imran Khan’s massive anti-American rally has made it very difficult for Pakistani leaders to oblige their friends from Saudi Arabia and Turkey who have became part of the process on the US request.

Imran criticised the Army operations in the tribal areas in very strong words. He clearly said some tribal elders had given him assurances that if US drone attacks were stopped and the Pakistan Army halted operations in the tribal areas they would control all militants. Imran Khan also arranged meetings of these tribal elders (mostly from North Waziristan) with his ex-wife Jemima Khan who is making a documentary against drone attacks.

Jemima and Imran are separated but often meet because of their two sons. An American lawyer Clive Smith is also helping Jemima and they are planning a big campaign against drone attacks in the Western media. Jemima writes for Vanity Fair magazine. She is helping not only Imran but also Julian Assange, WikiLeaks founder, and Assange may also speak at the inauguration of documentary against drone attacks. The documentary is expected to have a lot of “WikiLeaks”. Imran Khan has repeatedly said, “Pakistan has changed”. He threatened, “I will not spare anyone who gave Pakistani bases to US and sold my people for dollars”.

Without naming Pervez Musharraf he sent him a message not to come back to Pakistan. He also said: “We want friendly relations with every country but we cannot accept slavery of America”. Imran Khan came out openly in support of the Kashmiris and advised India to withdraw its troops from Kashmir.

He tried to satisfy the central Punjab voters who are not happy with the soft stance of Zardari and Nawaz Sharif on India. This hawkish stance will definitely bring him closer to the military establishment but he opposes military action in Balochistan. He also criticised the role of Pakistan Army in former East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) in his recently published book “Pakistan a Personal History”.

According to the sources in Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) more than a dozen ambassadors from different Western countries wanted to see Imran Khan this week but he left for China immediately after addressing the mammoth public rally in Lahore on Sunday night. He will be a guest of the Chinese government. His opponents often declared him “Taliban Khan” or the “modern face of Jamat-i-Islami” but hundreds of thousands of people enjoyed the songs of many popular singers in the Lahore rally. For some critics it became a grand musical show but the fact is that the crowd enjoyed the music at a public place after a very long time. Pakistan has many popular pop singers but they cannot sing at public places due to fear of suicide bombings that started in 2007. There was a suicide attack on the musical show of Sono Nagam sometime back in Karachi and after that many pop singers were threatened not to sing at public places. Many singers like Adnan Sami, Atif Aslam and Ali Zafar tried their luck in India in recent years but now they can come back.

Imran Khan is bringing back not only the political activities on the roads but also encouraging many pop singers like Shehzad Roy to sing publicly who made songs against drone attacks. Roy presented his famous song ‘uth bandh kamar kya darta hey phir dekh Khuda kya karta hey” in the Sunday rally. Thousands of youngsters were dancing on this song and Imran was clapping with them.

Imran Khan is becoming the voice of the common Pakistanis who are neither religious extremists not secular fascists. He is becoming a ray of hope for those disgruntled youngsters who have started hating democracy due to bad governance and corruption. These youngsters can now bring about a change in Pakistan through their vote power. Youth is the real power of Imran Khan and this youth belongs to the lower middle, middle class. This is the most disillusioned class in Pakistan but now the youth of this class is becoming active, which is a positive sign.

Dozens of sitting parliamentarians are contacting Imran Khan for joining his PTI. Former foreign minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi and many political big shots will make some shocking decisions soon but Imran is more interested in young blood and well-educated minds.

He warned the government on Sunday that all politicians must declare their assets inside and outside Pakistan within a few months failing which his party would launch a civil disobedience movement and block all major cities with public support. For many analysts he is emerging as the third option after Zardaris’s PPP and Nawaz Sharif’s PML-N.

Some say he will ruin Nawaz Sharif in the central Punjab and PPP would be the ultimate beneficiary. Imran does not agree with this analysis. He always criticises PPP and PML-N jointly because one is ruling at the centre and the other is ruling Punjab, which is more than 60 percent of Pakistan. Imran has definitely proved that he enjoys more political support in Lahore than Nawaz Sharif but it does not mean that he is going to get clear majority in the coming elections. He needs some winning horses not only in the central Punjab but also in south Punjab, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, Baluchistan and Sindh.

He needs big rallies in Faisalabad, Multan, Peshawar, Karachi and Quetta and then he can make some bigger claims. He will definitely make dents not only in the vote bank of PML-N but will also damage the PPP badly. There are 25 seats of national assembly in Lahore division of which PML-N has 20, PPP has 3 and PML-Q has one. Imran may snatch at least half of the PML-N and all the seats won by PPP and PML-Q in Lahore. Out of 23 seats in Gujranwala division PML-N has 13, PPP 8 and PML-Q has 2. Imran will damage PPP and PML-Q more than PML-N in Gujranwala. There are 20 seats in Faisalabad division – PML-N has only 4 while PML-Q has 8 and PPP has 7 seats.

Many sitting members of the national assembly from Faisalabad are pleading to Imran to accept them in his party. Some PPP, PML-Q and ANP members from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are also in contact with Imran, which means that his popularity is not confined to Punjab.

His biggest stronghold in the north is the tribal area where he is expected to make a clean sweep and more than 10 seats are in his pocket. This is the same area where he will not allow government to start any new Army operations.

If there is no operation then what will be the future of Pakistan-US relations? Zardari regime is at the crossroads. There is US pressure from one side and the PTI pressure from the other.

Nawaz Sharif was trying to play safe by targeting only Zardari and not the US but Imran Khan has suddenly changed the political dynamics in Pakistan. He is the new trouble man for US and also for the pro-US political elite in Pakistan. All the popular parties have no option other than to follow his anti-Americanism.

Hillary Clinton needs to realise the wave of change in Pakistani politics. She cannot understand this change without engaging Imran Khan. October 30 was just a beginning. World will see more changes on the political map of Pakistan and Imran Khan will play a leading role.

UN official Claims 9-11 Was US Plot

Source : http://www.geo.tv/1-26-2011/77666.htm

NEW YORK: UN Human Rights official Richard Falk wrote on his blog that there had been an “apparent cover up” by American authorities. He added that most media were “unwilling to acknowledge the well-evidenced doubts about the official version of the events” on 9-11, despite it containing “gaps and contradictions”.

And he described David Ray Griffin, a conspiracy theorist highly regarded in the so-called “9-11 truth” movement, as a “scholar of high integrity” whose book on the subject was “authoritative”.

Ban Ki-Moon, the UN Secretary-General, described the comments as “preposterous” and “an affront to the memory of the more than 3,000 people who died in the attack.” But Ban said that it was not for him to decide whether Prof Falk, who serves the organization as a special investigator into human rights abuses in the Palestinian territories, should be fired by the UN.

Vijay Nambiar, Ban’s chief of staff, said this was up to the human rights council, a 47-nation body based in Geneva, Switzerland, that was created by the UN in 2006.

UN Watch, a pressure group that monitors the organisation, has called for Prof Falk to be sacked. Hilel Neuer, the group’s chief executive, described him as “a serial offender with zero credibility”.

The row came as the new Republican-led US Congress opened an inquiry into “urgent problems” with America’s contribution to the UN, including its membership of the human rights council.

Comments : After killing thousands of people ,with the help from Pakistan Army  and NATO, Pentagon/CIA still is not able to prove their claims about 9-11. War Crimes? War Tribunal? Justice for those who died on 9-11 and who died after that in the name of 9-11? UN Charter for Human Rights? This not a war against terror or terrorism. This is a war against humanity, justice and peace.

Rule of Law, Shameless Plutocracy and Turbulent Economy

Recently, Transparency International published their Corruption Perception Index in which Pakistan was placed at 34th position. Also in UN Humanitarian Development Index, Pakistan is proudly placed at 125 with Zimbabwe at lowest on 169 and small countries like Srilanka and Maldives in better positions of 99 and 107 than World’s 7th Nuclear Power.  Many people especially those with some sort of sympathies with our ruling elite criticize the authenticity of these indexes.

One of the main argument presented against the results is lack of understanding by these institutions about the local conditions and environment. This criticism seems to be valid and genuine because if the analysis is based on real conditions then the results might come out worse.

If we look at the problems a common person faces due to corruption, law and order situation, and incompetent governance then the seriousness of the issues become a bit clear. Reality on the ground is that not only corruption is destroying our so-called national institutions and costing us billions but it has buried a common man straight under.

From cartelization to paying forceful unnecessary taxes, there is no justification of calling the present situation even near satisfactory. High inflation and energy crises are a result of government sponsored cartelization and corrupt privatization without merit. If things are done in transparent way and Rule of Law is established then we can expect some improvement in turbulent economy, if it has not crashed yet.We are already moving around 4 percent GDP growth which is very low as compared to countries like India and China in the same region.

If a common man saves enough money through his hard work, even in this time of government sponsored inflation, and decides to build his house then a new series of hurdles and problems start for him. First one is to go through the government doors for transferring the plots, passing the site plan and other unnecessary approvals which not only cost huge amount of fees but a big amount is taken from his through forceful corruption otherwise his file disappears somewhere in hell.

Once he goes through the process then the process of construction comes, if high prices of construction material due to unjustified sales taxes is not enough then extortion money will surely take a lot juice out of him. All the major government parties and their allied mafias are involved in this game. In case of Karachi, areas are distributed and in each area people are bound to pay this money if they want to make their houses or they want to do business. If someone denies then Shersha Kabari Market incident is not that old to remind us what can happen.

Recent target killing also has some touch of this mafia war for taking more and more area under control. Many times where demarkation of areas is not clear people have to pay extortion to multiple parties. The situation has gone worse after floods, especially in Karachi, not only due to chanting demographics but also due to further slowdown in economy and high inflation.

Cost of doing and initiating business is also a major problem. Not only permits, licensing and quotas are a major problem but red-tapism, corruption, security issues and high electricity are things which in any country can break the backbone of business. Load shedding of 12 hours in a commercial hub like Karachi cannot send a positive message for any investor whether local or international.

The situation is not only resulting in the flight of capital but it has created unemployment issues as well which directly impacts the standard of living. We often demand overseas Pakistanis to bring their money in the country but if we honestly analyse the situation then the demand looks a bit unjust.

At the moment our country is facing worst kind of shameless plutocracy in the name of democracy with mafias and government cronies hammering the life out of our people.

The responsibility also lies on the shoulders of people as they are the ones who chant slogans for these leaders and support either corrupt politicians or dictators.

The real issue is not just that how long this situation can go on but the real issue how long our country can sustain it. We need to come out of this situation otherwise time doesn’t wait for anyone and if worse becomes worst and worst becomes unchangeable then collapse of everything becomes inevitable. So the choice is ours and we are already getting late for the right choices to be made. Instead of cursing institutions for bringing out reports reflecting our dismal performance we need to focus on improving the situation and coming out of this mess.

By Ansar Abbasi

ISLAMABAD: All those who have come under a cloud of suspicion in the UN Commission report on Benazir Bhutto’s assassination have been generously and exceptionally treated and rewarded by the present PPP regime.

The report found Rehman Malik’s statement as incredible. It blamed the Musharraf regime and talked in a suspicious manner about the role and conduct of the then Rawalpindi’s City Police Officer Saud Aziz. It also expressed its reservations over the role of the then secretary interior Kamal Shah and his inability to properly respond to seriousthreats to Benazir’s life. It also speaks about the dubious role of Nusrat Naeem, the then deputy DG ISI.

Interestingly, the present regime let General Musharraf leave the country. Rehman Malik, chief security officer of Benazir Bhutto, was amongst the first ones to be given key government position. Malik was initially appointed as Adviser to the PM on interior and later made the minister after getting into the Senate. Malik is today one of the most influential ministers and close associates of President Asif Ali Zardari.

Kamal Shah, the then secretary interior, a known favourite of Musharraf was protected and was even given extension in service but was ultimately removed last year. The then CPO Rawalpindi Saud Aziz despite having been identified as an extremely controversial cop to have messed up with the Benazir’s murder case, has been appointed as CPO Multan, the prime minister’s hometown on the personal request of the PM.

The then deputy chief of ISI, Maj-Gen Nusrat Naeem, and a known crony of Musharraf was not promoted by the incumbent Army chief and allowed to retire prematurely, is also reported to be in contact with today’s Presidency as well.

The Commission also said Kamal Shah did not have any clear answer when asked as to why following the Oct 22 threat report, no directive was issued to safeguard Benazir Bhutto. The treatment given to these people by the PPP shows it has no reservations about their role in the Benazir murder. In fact, the PPP did not even register an FIR against the assassination and it is not clear whether any case would now be registered after the UN report, which costs $50 million to the taxpayers.

UN Comission Report on Benazir Bhutto Murder–>Initial response

United Nations has just released the report of UN fact-finding mission for Benazir Murder Case. Bhutto was killed in Rawalpindi in December 2007  during her election rally.

The commission headed by Heraldo Munoz, the U.N. representative from Chile, comments, “Bhutto’s assassination could have been prevented if adequate security measures had been taken.”

It also says :

“The commission believes that the failure of the police to investigate effectively Ms. Bhutto’s assassination was deliberate.” Also, “ The officials, in part fearing intelligence agencies’ involvement, were unsure of how vigorously they ought to pursue actions, which they knew as professionals, they should have taken.”

Note that the purpose of UN commission was fact-finding not fixing the responsibility.

The main points are :

1 ) Musharraf government failed to provide proper security to Benazir Bhutto. The responsibility for this failure is on police and intelligence agencies including ISI,MI and IB.
2 ) Negotiations were going on between Benazir Bhutto and Musharraf but no agreement was made. Musharraf was not in favor of Benazir’s arrival in Pakistan at that time.
3 ) Musharraf government washed all the conclusive evidence. Only 23 pieces of evidence were provided and for this scale of incident usually thousands of pieces are preserved to investigate the truth.
4 ) The press conference of Brigadier Cheema of Interior Ministry was misleading in which responsibility was put on Baitullah Mehsud without investigation.
5 ) PPP’s own security team also failed to protect Benazir Bhutto despite PPP having so many people willing to give their lives for Bhutto.
6 ) Rehman Malik denied that he was responsible for Benazir’s physical security. UN commission finds Rehman Malik’s argument not factual as he was continuously in touch with establishment for Benazir’s security and was looking after the arrangements.
7 ) CPO Saud Aziz was responsible for not allowing the postmortem and washing the crime scene.
8 ) The car, in which Rehman Malik was sitting, left Benazir’s car alone which also decreased the level of security.

10 ) It is said that a 15 years old boy conducted the suicide blast but UN commission says a 15 years old boy cannot do all this alone.
11 ) Threat to Benazir’s life was from Extremist elements but role of establishment cannot be overlooked in this.

Now few things which immediately come to my mind are:

1) Why Musharraf was given a safe exit when even PPP workers think he was responsible for BB’s murder? Was it due to the fact that Mr. Zardari was one of the beneficiaries or it was due to some pressure?

2) Why the key responsible persons continued to work on their positions without proper accountability during the government of PPP including interior ministry officers, police officers, intelligence agency officers including former DG MI Nadeem Ijaz, former ISI head and Vice Army Chief General Kiyani?

3) Kiyani is now Army Chief and was representing Musharraf during NRO deal. Will he allow further investigation on the role of ISI, MI,Musharraf and Kiyani himself?

4) In Rehman Malik’s car, two other persons were also sitting. These two persons are Babar Awan and Musharraf’s close friend and former Core Commander Mangla Lt. General (R) Tauqir Zia(who was also the Chairman PCB during Musharraf time). Will some probe them for their role and negligence?

5) Why the government of Pakistan delayed UN Commission Report for 15 days (till 15th April 2010)? Even though UN Commission didn’t conduct any new interview after 31st March 2010 as opposite to the government’s claim that the Commission is requested to conduct few interviews. Rehman Malik even yesterday revised the same claim.

6) Will this murder go into the dustbin of Waziristan or some serious investigations will be done to investigate this high-profile murder?

Report can be downloaded from the link below:

Lets see if millions of dollars invested by a poor nation on this report will be of any use or not?

I hope some serious and independent investigation and trial will be conducted for this murder.

9 ) Commission didn’t find evidence against Asif Zardari’s and any of the family members’ involvement in this murder.

Delay in UN report and Fatima Bhutto waiting for justice.–>Does PPP respect Bhutto legacy or they just cash it?

We have seen PPP as a feudal party always cahsing the emotions of people by playing democracy and shaheed cards. Both the cards are played over the legacy left by Bhutto family starting from Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto. Recent elections were another occasion where they cashed the Bhutto shaheed card but this time it was Benazir Bhutto’s murder which gave them votes and paved way for Zardari and team to takeover the country.

Benazir murder never got importance in PPP government and proper FIR wasn’t registered after a long time. A UN commission without any mendate to pin point anyone was set for fact finding.

Now when the commission was about to deliver the final report it was stopped by government of Pakistan to do so, Why and Who they are trying to protect?

On the other hand another Bhutto (Fatima) is demanding justice for the murder of her father Murtaza bhutto and it doesn’t look possible in the presence of current PPP government founded by the father of Murtaza Bhutto.

‘My father’s killers leading nation’

Source : http://www.nation.com.pk/pakistan-news-newspaper-daily-english-online/Islamabad/31-Mar-2010/My-fathers-killers-leading-nation/1
The Nation

KARACHI – Fatima Bhutto, daughter of late Mir Murtaza Bhutto, has said those, who orchestrated the crime of assassination of her father, are currently leading the nation.
She was addressing the launching ceremony of her book ‘Songs of Blood and Sword’, held at Clifton Gardens here on Tuesday.
Political leaders, diplomats, writers and people from all walks of life attended the function.
Mir Murtaza Bhutto’s widow and Chairperson of PPP-Shaheed Bhutto, Ghinwa Bhutto, welcomed the guests, while Fatima’s younger brother Zulfikar Bhutto Junior and her cousin (Shahanwaz Bhutto’s daughter) Sassi Bhutto also accompanied her.
Fatima, wearing green dress, revealed the story of her father’s assassination which took place 14 years ago near her house, 70 Clifton, saying that her father was shot several times and the bullet that had killed him was fired at point-blank range.
Giving details about the tragic incident, she said 14 years ago seven men were murdered near her house.
“The streetlights went off and roads leading to 70 Clifton were blocked by heavy contingents of police who were waiting to kill my father,” she added.
Without taking name of President Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan’s most outspoken political commentator and granddaughter of Zulfikar Ali Bhutto, Fatima Bhutto said the man, who orchestrated the crime of killing her father, is presently leading the nation.
However, the police officers and other people who were charged in my father’s murder have been released due to the flaws in the system, and won national medals, she said.
