Troop worshipers and Martial Law

Mad troop worshipers say we need martial law to improve things. A kind reminder for them:

a) This war mess is a gift from Musharraf martial law.

b) The initial mistake of jumping into cold war was made by military and Ayub’s martial law regime and the same policy was followed by Yahya, Bhutto (A civilian martial law administrator appointed by army and trained by General Ayub) and Gen Zia.

c) 90s, despite corruption and mismanagement was much safer and better.

d) Many national institutions like SUPARCO,NESCOM, NLC (the collapsed bridge fame) etc are under direct or indirect control of army. In most countries such institutions are run by civilians. SUPARCO is a failed organization when it comes to research and development in real space sciences and astronomy. Most of the time they do some missile work and some work with Chinese companies. The reason is simple that instead of being led by top level scientists it is being run by former or serving khakis with no brain.

e) Even the biggest city of Pakistan i.e. Karachi is directly or indirectly under administrative control of occupied armed forces in the form of DHAs, military cantonments and civil cantonment areas who have to pay extortion not only to local political and land mafias but also to military mafias (in the form of absurd charges and taxes) who milk money from civil cantonment areas, put restrictions on civilian liberties and don’t do shit to improve things there.

f) Not only that, army is doing everything from running marriage halls, banks, factories and it has occupied a great deal of land and other economic resources of this country.

g) Army ,ISI and MI waste resources on spying journalists, judges and creating puppets in media (like Zaid Hamid) and politics or shutting down channels like Geo.

It shouldn’t be hard to see why we continuously see intelligence and security failures or why we are still stuck in this war on terror mess? The prime security institution was never designed to be a defender of people or constitution, it was designed by British to work as proxy rulers. Cantonment areas are a reminder of such mindset. It will be interesting to see how much area of Newyork, Shanghai, Mumbai, London or even #Moscow is controlled by army like the so called Pakistan army and air force control or occupy Karachi.

SHC orders removal of Musharraf’s name from ECL: Musharraf Gang and recent events

According to media reports, Sind High Court (SHC) has instructed the government to remove the name of former dictator General (R) Pervez Musharraf from the exit control list (ECL).

So, all the mess Musharraf gang created is finally paying off. Pakistan is still in ruins from his policies and will plunge into more chaos but then who cares?

Finally, ‪‎PMLN‬ surrendered as expected and didn’t prosecute the cases seriously with full intent. This is NRO2 and nothing else which was expected from political parties like ‪PPP‬ and PMLN who made deals with Occupied Armed Forces and their foreign masters to come into power.

The disappointment is more from ‪PTI‬ and ‪‎Imran Khan‬ who danced to the tune of establishment and helped them create a distraction in the form of ‪‎Geo‬.
Now, forget any kind of justice for missing persons too and they will be left for facing baton charges on the streets. No one will blame army as it is a grave sin and blasphemy to criticize an army which is at war (self-imported).

Some interesting things to note from recent events:

Military establishment especially Musharraf gang is doing everything they can to create the right kind of chaos to make grounds for his safe exit. I have been saying that they will burn the whole country, even if they have to, to protect dictator and his team, to continue his war policies and to get away from cases like missing persons case.

So far they are able to get the desired outcome from most of the things :

a) By doing Hamid Mir episode they were able to get the angry response from Geo which resulted in its shut down.

b) They used the distraction from Geo issue to do aerial strikes which triggered revenge attacks in Karachi and other places so now dialogues option is pretty much gone. It means TTP reacted as the establishment expected them to do so.

c) They were even able to marginalize anti-war parties by distracting them using issues like #Geo and that stupid issue of Shaista Lodhi show. Even PTI and Imran Khan fell for that.

d) Nawaz Sharif has no chance of stopping the establishment as he has also made deals with them to grab power. rigging in 2013 Elections of Pakistan was not possible without establishment support.

The only player which dodged the bullet is MQM and despite serious hatred for their politics and tactics, I must say they played well for their own sake.

There was a serious plan to replace Altaf Hussain and install a new leader like Ishrat ul Ibad or bring back Mustafa Kamal or even #Musharraf as Altaf was not allowing even Musharraf to share political base of Karachi which establishment needs for Musharraf.

They tried to use the recent Altaf Hussain arrest situation but the show of ground mafia power by MQM made them to change their minds as they want to replace Altaf but not at the cost of losing ground support of MQM for this war and other policies.

MQM is still with Musharraf but not at the cost of Altaf and its Musharraf who will be looking at MQM for support not the other way around as attempted by the establishment.

I hate bhair bakri (sheeple) attitude of many Muhajirs in Karachi when it comes to following Altaf or surrendering their freedom in front of him by force but it seems these are the only things which helped MQM survived the hijacking attempt by establishment and now establishment still needs MQM for this war, Musharraf and other issues.

Geo Suspended by PEMRA/ISI: A defeat for civil society, judiciary, democracy and free media.

Geo has been suspended by Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) on the pressure of Pakistan’s corrupt military mafia and its nefarious spy agency ISI.

I strongly condemn this attack on the freedom of media and free speech.

This is not just a ban on a private channel but an assertion of authority by Pakistan’s deep state or occupied mercenary armed forces over the rights of people and businesses.

The ban also shows that Musharraf’s legacy still controls the country and a lot is needed to be done by freedom and justice loving people.

Unfortunately, many media houses, political parties and religious groups danced to the tune of military establishment.

I hope some sanity will prevail and freedom of speech will be restored.

Geo license suspended by PEMRA

According to latest media reports, Pakistan Electronic Media Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) has suspended the licenses of Geo News, Geo Entertainment and Geo Tez. This is another attack by establishment on freedom of media and must be condemned.

If the biggest media group of Pakistan (Geo) goes down like this then forget about smaller media groups and wait for the time when establishment will exercise their patriotic totalitarian madness over blogs, news websites, websites of political parties or even their speeches. Worst part of this madness is that a political party like PTI and a leader with great potential like Imran Khan were used like a toilet paper. The establishment did it with ease. All they needed to do was to exploit the right fault lines and play cards like religion, nationalism, blasphemy or some personal differences.

Geo did bad journalism on many occasions including in 2013 elections but we need to know that media freedom also includes bad or biased journalism. Giving up freedom to satisfy some personal hatred is a sign of slave and weak mind.

People need to learn that if you don’t like something use your TV remote. use the control in your own hand instead of giving it to PEMRA or Army. . I opposed Geo for their support of Swat operation or supporting army in this war or for 2013 election coverage but on Hamid Mir issue, they rightly stood up with the victim.

I hope sanity will prevail and this attack by establishment will fail.

Update: Next day government, after pressure from local and international circles, distanced itself from the decision and termed the meeting illegal. Still Geo is not available in many parts of the countries as cable operators are under pressure from military.

Army,Pakistan,Politicians and lessons we never learned

For last 6-7 decades army is exploiting ethnic, sectarian and social class prejudices to rule either directly through martial laws or indirectly during puppet or so called civilian governments. Nationalism is another card along with Shaheed card which they use very often to recover their image when their big blunders bring them under some criticism.

Even in this fake war on terror, they used sectarian, ethnic and social class prejudices to forward war agenda in Pakistan and if we are seeing the results in the form of Shia-Sunni or Sufi-Salafi wars or similar other conflicts then we shouldn’t feel shocked. Its the similar outcome they wanted but perhaps a bit more under control where they have command over resulting situations so that they can use these situations for their advantage. They were fools if they were expecting any good out of these evil, corrupt and stupid policies. This mess can only be cleaned if we start valuing our freedom and develop some sense of justice instead of worshiping false gods like troops, mullahs, feudal rulers, sufis, mafia lords or others.

War defeats and loss of half country should tell us that this current colonial legacy based army structure is bogus and not designed for defense but 4 martial laws show it is designed for proxy rule of foreign powers. It was army which gave bases to Americans and invited drones and gave NRO with the help of Americans/British so that this war can go on. its army which made Pakistan a front line american ally in this war against afghans or Pakistanis.

Geo definitely played a doubtful role in 2013 elections but using that issue to promote troop worship is something really disappointing from PTI. Geo is a private TV with business interests so one can expect these things from them and the solution is to change the channel. Focus should have been on the rigging which couldn’t have happened without the support of military and civil security establishments, who were supposed to secure the electoral booths and we saw how it went.

If PTI and Imran Khan are thinking that they will get something good out for the country or for the party by supporting the troops on wrong things then they should learn from their friends in KPK government i.e. Jamaat-e-Islami which supported the troops on many occasions especially in 1971 and we can see how establishment treats them. JI gave lots of sacrifices for establishment blunders in 71 and ended up facing most of the fall out. Even the recent 10 party alliance or new IJI didn’t give them anything.

Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto launched his career as Gen (Retarded) Ayub’s puppet, became CMLA with the help of army, supported military’s policies towards bengalis and we saw what these troops did to him.

Nawaz Sharif, another product of establishment, was forced into exile. Even in 2013 elections he came to power through more deals and we will see how hard it will be for him to keep up the promises especially on issues like peace with India or on Musharraf case or on missing persons case (We already saw what happened with them in Islamabad).

Benazir Bhutto made NRO deal and we can see how it ended.

I mean, what the heck is wrong with politicians and even their supporters? Why can’t they see the real root causes of the problem which are related to the British legacy proxy ruling structure in the form of occupied mercenary armed forces? How will they be able to solve fundamental issues if they try to please the real devil?

The troop pleasing attitude is expected from feudal-corporatist politicians like Nawaz or Zardari, mafias like MQM etc but a party which promotes justice and human rights and ends up surrendering in front of troop worship mindset is really disappointing.

Imran Khan interview with Jasmeen Manzoor; Some real disappointments.

Its not a secret that I have been supporting Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) and Imran Khan for a long time. I supported them because they were bold in their opposition of General (R) Musharraf and his dictatorship. They were bold against his war on terror policies, attack on judiciary, attack on media, war crimes and violations of human rights.

However, the recent troop worship mindset or I should say surrender in front of troop worship mindset by PTI and IK is really disappointing for me.

The current post is mostly a series of comments on IK’s recent interview with Jasmeen Manzoor. You can watch the interview here on these links:

http://insaf.pk/mediagallery/videos/item/1788020-tonight-with-jasmeen-exclusive-interview-with-imran-khan-may-05-2014

– Quoting Singapore example is pathetic. Singapore is very low in ranking when it comes to media freedom. So PTI is going to go for a Singapore type strangle hold on media? are we going for Zia or Ayub type media policies? Justice without freedom is nothing and not possible. There is no justice in slavery and a party like Pakistan Tehreek e “Insaf” should know this thing. Media freedom also includes freedom to be biased or freedom to propagate their own agenda (right or wrong is a subjective thing).

– One thing he should also know is that it was not Geo which started this Taliban Khan rant, it was General (Retarded) Musharraf who first used the term Taliban without a beard for Imran Khan but then again IK has forgotten all this in his newly discovered troop worship nationalism.

– Appealing people to boycott Geo voluntarily is the right way instead of siding with military on an issue involving an attack over journalist like Hamid Mir. Geo surely did deceptive reporting as they are a business group with business interests but focusing the attention on a business group and vindicating military establishment which actually runs the show is disappointing. He is criticizing Geo on supporting war on terror but probably forgot to mention who is fighting this war or who brought this war in the first place? Its army that did this! He forgot to mention General (R) Kiyani who criticized the people who were against this war and he did this right before elections.

Its just like a surrender in front of troop worship mindsets which also include many of PTI supporters and leaders too. As a leader, he should help people take a stand in front of tyrants like he did during judiciary movement or during his consistent opposition against this war. Its seem (with huge disappointment) that even he is tired or defeated and now seems to be in a compromising mood. Disappointment is not seeing people like Nawaz, Zardari, Altaf etc surrendering in front of military might but disappointment is seeing people like IK, who have achieved so much for the country, surrendering in front of military mafia.

– Where is the plan to challenge PPO? PPO is a blunder and a gift to army which can be well used by them to target political parties like PMLN itself or PTI or JI or others in case of a martial law. Nawaz has a habit of shooting in the foot by trusting military with more power but now IK is learning these skills.

What about missing persons issue? Why no protests against the use of fighter jets like JF-17 thunder on Pakistani populated areas? Why no protest against army for protecting Musharraf? Army will burn the whole country just to protect their interests and people like Mushi but troop worship mindset will still chant Zindabad slogans for them which is a big big shame.

Hamid Mir endorses brother’s claims of threats from ISI:Geo tv

Source: http://www.geo.tv/article-145634-Hamid-Mir-endorses-brothers-claims-of-threats-from-ISI

KARACHI: Senior anchorperson Hamid Mir who was critically injured in an armed attack is his first statement issued after regaining consciousness that his programme ‘Capital Talk’ on Mama Qadeer Baloch’s long march to Islamabad had annoyed the Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI).

Amir Mir, senior journalist and brother of Hamid Mir, read out the statement before the media from outside the hospital.

“Men of some intelligence agency had come to my house, telling me that my name is on the hit-list,” Amir Mir read out the text. “When I asked as to who had prepared the hit-list, the men gave no response.”

Hamid Mir said he had told them that in the prevailing circumstance he had faced greatest threats from the ISI and they should convey this to their bosses.

The statement further said: “If any harm came to me or my family, the state and non-state actors will be responsible.”

“I had been receiving threats from both state and non-state actors,” it added.

“I had informed in advance about the threats to the Geo’s administration, family members, close friends and companions. I had also pointed out the elements from whom I faced the threats.”

Hamid Mir asked in the statement as to why no action was taken against the elements who had planted explosives beneath his car. “Why were these elements not exposed,” he questioned.

“Despite a police report, no action was taken against the people who had attacked my children in Islamabad,” the statement added.

In the beginning of the statement, Hamid Mir thanked the people of Pakistan for being blessed with a new life.
