Source: Pakistan can miss export targets due to power crisis:Amin Fahim.
Lahore- Amin Fahim, The Pakistani federal minister for commerce has warned about the possibility of not achieving the export targets if electricity crisis and the law and order situation do not see any positive change.
He also said that terror attacks are making the foreign investor to reconsider their strategy in Pakistan.
He also told the media that the government is trying to Persuade United States, European Union and friendly Muslim countries to provide free market access to Pakistani products to revive its economy.
He was talking to the media during his visit to Lahore Expo Center. He said Rs3.5 billion needed for its completion have been sanctioned and the center would hopefully be operational in two months.
According to Fahim every time a bomb blast occurs foreign countries gave new advice to their citizens.
Pakistan being the front-line state of ongoing war in the region has suffered great economic and human losses as a price for its role in the war.The problems got worse with another ongoing issue of electricity affecting the industrial productivity especially for export goods.
I came across with points on Theocracy, Liberty and Secularism in relationship with Islamic Social Justice and Concept of State in Islam.
For Islamic societies many wrongly contest that Islam and Islamic social justice require strong state involvement, mostly who are against it spread it but who are in favor have also toed this line without using their brain.
Their assumptions are not based on Quranic beliefs (as far as i understood one may differ).
If we try to understand it we see:
1 ) Equality of all humans is an essential point. There is no concept of sovereign immunity for any individual or group or institution.
2 ) Economy is based on real production and services not on fictitious interest base.
3 ) Social justice means equal social opportunities to grow means no exclusive rights
for any particular class to control the resources.
4 ) State is their not to control the resources but its role is merely to make sure no individual or group takes the control of resources made available by Allah to all.
5 ) Zakat or the minimal taxes are based on extra yearly savings or use of collective natural resources not on Income or Intellectual property. Though one may contest the prohibition is there or not but certainly the concept is not there at all of tax on income.
6 ) Family laws or society laws are only for Muslims who voluntarily accept the system based on Quran or Islam itself . Even in these cases the role is not to regulate to the micro-level or takeaway freedom but it is to ensure that the freedom of one doesn’t become a nightmare for others and doesn’t create social damages to society.
7 ) No force or compulsion on non-Muslims to follow it. Unlike the hypocrite secular govts. which make centralized laws force all the communities and followers of religious beliefs to follow it.
8 ) The dealing with other religions and societies are done through social agreements and
voluntary inclusion in society.
A really informative article on the economic situation of Pakistan, friends of Pakistan, the crisis we are facing due to our role in so called war against terror and foreign interference in our issues.
Why no one is looking at the economic impacts of Kerry-Lugar Bill and it’s impacts on the promotion of Capitalist-Imperialism?
Most of the clauses being circulated and criticized from the bill are related to security
conditions , no one except few analysts and politicians are looking at the economic impacts of the bill on our economy.
In summary it will:
1) Help the USA in making a parallel budget to work on our social sector through our NGOs
and we have seen how these funds are utilized in countries like ours
mostly to support vested interests of the fund suppliers.
2) Promote the further monitoring of our economy by Imperialist power.
3) Set the directions of our budget or the security part of our budget.
4) Pave way for them to openly invest in scholars and organizations to promote the USA war against humanity (so called war against terror) agenda which will further make our society a capitalist slave and put our economy in a course to face further damages of the war.
5) Make our economy a real slave economy which will live just enough to serve the purpose of Capitalist Imperialism.
Army and controlled opposition in the parliament didn’t reject the aid and the bill as a whole and the reasons are:
1) They don’t want to get out of this war against humanity and peace as their personal gains are associated with it.
2) They themselves are slaves to the Capitalist-Imperialism to which this bill is intended to serve.
