PTI can still do a lot : Situation is not ideal but everything is not lost

May 11, 2013 2 comments

I think it is clear that PTI can only make government in KPK. It will be a split mandate and in sha Allah PTI will not join any status-quo party for power.

Situation is not ideal but everything is not lost. The good thing will be that they can still show performance in KPK. They can:

a) Eliminate corruption in KPK
b) Raise strong voice against this war and drones by passing resolutions and active protests on the streets or even blocking supplies
c) Strength the system of justice in KPK
d) Conduct local bodies elections
e) Help promoting peace and local businesses to improve employment situation
f) Make it a good place to invest for private sector especially in hydel power, gem stones, engineering etc
g) Give incentives to the private sector to invest in research and development through universities
h) Give results in other key areas which are part of their manifesto

In National Assembly, they can make strong noise on policy issues related to local and international affairs.

Mushi’s arrival and responsibility of anti-war/anti-status quo forces

March 24, 2013 2 comments

Pro-war and pro-status quo forces have again tried to hijack the momentum of change through Mushi. Mushi,MQM,TuQ, PPP,ANP,PML etc are pets of pro-war local and international establishment and only those who are totally blind or have deep sectarian and social class prejudices against others support these satans. Its time for PTI,JI and other anti-war/anti-status quo groups to make a meaningful strategy against these forces of evil who brought death and destruction to this country and its people during the last many years.

Musharraf committed many crimes against humanity and his arrival should be used as an opportunity to punish him for these crimes. If he is punished for his crimes from courts after a due process then it will not only strengthen rule of law in the country but it will also help in cooling down some fire in KPK,FATA,Balochistan and other parts of the country.

Sectarianism, War, Gun Control and Freedom

March 7, 2013 1 comment

We have recently seen some of the deadliest terrorist attacks on Hazara community, religious leaders of both Shia and Sunni sects, mafia wars in Karachi and resulting terrorism. It is interesting to see that whenever there is a momentum in support of peace dialogue these things pick up their pace as if someone is not satisfied with the idea of peace.

We need to see who is benefiting from this war?

It seems establishment and their NRO don’t like the idea of peace so they will do anything to use any event for an excuse to continue this war mess. PPP has launched Shehla Reza and Faisal Raza Abidi again to play sectarian card, Zardari had a nice photo session with Khemenei and MQM is again playing similar cards. Now its time for people of Pakistan including Shias to think if they again want to fall for these pro-war and pro-status quo groups and present themselves as a fuel for this war?

Despite corruption in 90s, it was not that bad and lives were better and safer but now its a mess out there in our cities. We need to come out of this mess and for this first we need to come out of this war and then isolate those who are benefiting from this war. Without cooling down the fire in FATA, Balochistan etc we cannot expect peace in the country.

There are other factors than this war or sectarianism which are playing their role. It seems Abbas town blast has more to do with other things than sectarianism. What many are not highlighting is that almost half were Sunnis and the area is not just full of “Shia” flats but they have “Sunni” flats too (probably in more numbers). It can well be another land mafia or other mafia or political thing which is being portrayed by MQM,PPP,ANP and other pro-war scum as sectarian or ethnic violence. All these parties have militant wings with full capability of carrying out such activity. We never had a proper inquiry about 2005 Nishtar Park bombings or 2010 Ashura Blast and resulting riots (it seems the riot time was ready for such blast).

Also, some people are demanding gun ban for people. For them I can only say that if you can’t understand that its already very hard for a common person to get a weapons license in Karachi whereas a criminal doesn’t care about these licenses and laws. Its time to demand the lifting of all kinds of bans and restrictions on heavy weapons as these restrictions are only making a common person defenseless against these criminal gangs. Self-defense or even personal revenge is a basic human right as long as it is not misused to harm unrelated people.

Its time we  should stand up for our freedom against the powers of tyranny. The least we can do in this regard is not to support tyrants and their unjust actions.

Quetta and Swat Blasts–> Need to come out of this mess or war

January 13, 2013 Leave a comment

Its really sad to see hundreds of people facing purposeless deaths and its now a high time for people to see what these imported war policies, corrupt ruling elite and years of sectarian/social-class hatred has given us. We are in a self-destructing mode and we need to come out of it now.

Baluchistan govt. and assembly is a useless bunch of morons who only know how to grab more money and power. Governor has accepted the failure and there is no reason to keep them on their jobs. I am strongly against military intervention but I fully agree with the demand to remove Baluchistan government. They don’t represent people of Baluchistan at all. Dozens of people have lost their lives and Raisani has no serious intention of accepting the responsibility. Not only Raisani but DG FC and Army commanders in the province who are responsible of destroying peace in Baluchistan should be made accountable for the situation.

And finally for those who supported this system and are still supporting it: Next time when you support Army, PPP,PML,MQM,ANP,JUI and other pro-war groups and lobbies, don’t forget the scenes of miseries, deaths, poverty and hopelessness across the whole country.

Lal Masjid Operation–> Hamid Mir article in Jang

December 10, 2012 10 comments

Another good article by Hamid Mir on how establishment under Musharraf created this mess of terrorism and sectarian violence in Pakistan. My view on the issues are:

General Musharraf, Army and other pro-war lobbies used sectarian and social class differences in the society to forward their war agenda. Before 2005-06, there wasn’t much support for this fake war on terror but after that time they worked
on sectarian and social-class lines to create acceptability for this war. 2007 Lal-Masjid operation was in those same lines. The other thing they did was to exploit ethnic differences to strengthen his rule and MQM/PPP/ANP assisted 12 May 2007 was part of that policy. These things may have helped Musharraf in his war agenda or temporarily strengthening his rule but this has put Pakistan into a self-destructing mode.

Below is the article by Hamid Mir on Lal Masjid Operation. published in Jang:

May Allah give justice to the victims of this barbaric action by state institutions and give strength to the judges of Supreme Court to deliver justice without any fear. We also need to make state institutions clean from these evil minds who plot these evil things against the country and its people.

Religious events, security and shutting down of businesses and services

November 27, 2012 2 comments

For past few months, government has adopted the stupid method of shutting down cellular phone services along with all the businesses for religious events. These policies are apparently supported by some religious groups.

This madness and policy of fear and control should stop. Our economy is already crashed due to this bogus war and now the affects of this bogus war are furthering coming to our throats.

Why everyone has to shut down their businesses? I think these so called special days have become more of a competition to show strength. This is not only for Muharram but also for whatever Sunnis do when they observe “their days” and not forget that belief has become a slave of days, mob strength, chanting slogans or doing fun mela or crying out loud in group.

Spirituality doesn’t require to block MA Jinnah road or other business centers, a spiritual event can be observed by keeping in mind the sufferings of others. One other example is the AIHTRAM E RAMADAN ORDINANCE in which people who are not fasting are also forced to observe partial fast and food businesses are forced to close just because other people are observing fast. In this case again the spirit of a ritual is undermined and irrational behavior towards religion is evident. If the spirit of fasting is to be patient and tolerant then why people cannot show patience towards others who are not fasting or why people cannot control their hunger if others are eating in front of them.

For many of us religion has become an exercise of MANANA (celebrate), SAJANA(decorate) AND RAJJ KAI KHANA(eating a lot). Element of learning has gone. But still as I said earlier, I don’t have a problem whatever people follow or observe but it should be done in a way that businesses and lives of others don’t get disturbed.

If people require businesses and other activities to be stopped to provide a sense of security for religious processions or mosques then its better for them to stay at home and pray there. I will favor the closure of mosques if people in the mosque require shutting down of businesses around them so that they can feel safe while praying. its better for people to pray at home who are too much worried about security. mosques or processions which do not require closure of businesses do not come under that and people who focus more on prayers than showing off strength by closing businesses of others should do as they do.

Stop Holocaust of Palestinians by Israeli Nazis

November 16, 2012 8 comments

I am one of many people who think a two state solution is a more practical solution but the way Israel is continuing its racist policies and terrorism against Palestinians in Gaza and other areas, all hopes for peace look like an illusion.

Shame on Israelis who are murdering children in Gaza and also shame on pro-zionist people who support Israeli government

November 16, 2012 Leave a comment

Recent attack on Gaza by Israel is another example of how this global system based on hypocrisy and lies works. According to reports several people have lost their lives including women, old and children. Response from the so called champions of freedom and human rights is as usual just some formal lip service and nothing else. Not only the response lack the required condemnation to Israel but it was in a way supporting to Israel.

According to media reports, the administration of Nobel Peace Prize Winner USA President Barrack Obama (famous for his drones policy) has said that they recognize the right of Israel to defend itself as if the Israeli attack is about defending itself. On the other hand some of the Zionist lobby members in media are only focusing on some rockets fired by Hamas in response to Israeli heavy artillery and aerial bombing on civilian populations.

Its time for freedom and justice loving people of the world to raise their voice and take some practical measures to stop this holocaust and apartheid of Palestinian population by Israeli terrorist forces. It seem Israel, even after forming a so called state, is still sticking to its stern gang roots.

We condemned Israeli racist war against Palestinians and condemned the actions of these 21st century Nazis of Israel.

Israelis need to realize that if they want any kind of acceptance in the region then they have to stop mass murdering people and end this apartheid of Palestinians.

A good message for Israelis by a Jewish MP of UK parliament:

Malala Issue, drones, NWA operation and fog of this fake war on terror

October 13, 2012 1 comment

Recent events of march against drone strikes and attack on Malala Yousafzai have raised some important questions in my mind. These questions are mainly related to the timing of the event and how past events were dealt by the government and security institutions.

If Benazir Murder case is resolved then a lot can be understood about this fake war. For a start, one should ask that how was it possible that some rogue terrorists were able to delete or tempered the mobile communication record from the area? As far as I know that only ISI or some other high level intelligence organization like CIA (Like NADRA data they can surely access this data too) can do it.

These incidents like Benazir, Malala, Islamic University blast or Peshawar market blasts (denied by Talibans) happen at crucial times when anti-war protests take momentum or some crucial decisions are being made about further operations.

Another interesting event is the letter written by Afghan (Pentagon puppet) President Hamid Karzai to PTI’s Chairman, Imran Khan. For those who think that Malala issue is not related to drones and military operations or this fake war, there are few things to ponder upon (If they have the brain to do so). Why the president of a country would like to write a letter to Imran Khan and show the concerns which are shown by social-class and sectarian fascists in Pakistan and pro-imperialism media in USA? It seems Imran Khan and PTI’s march against drone strikes not only disturbed the plans of Pakistani sectarian and social-class fascists but also disturbed the pro-war scum internationally.

Another thing to understand about drone, NWA operation and Malala issue is that Imran Khan is scheduled to lead a protest in front of UN on 26th October 2012.

We need to find answers for these questions. For a start on Malala’s issue, government’s own interior minister Rehman Malik denied the involvement of TTP. Even if it is TTP then there are more than 15 (some say 30) groups working as TTP.

Some are fighting for revenge, some are being funded by international enemies of the country who want Pakistan to remain stuck in this war and some are local criminal gangs. Unless they are not identified clearly, word Taliban has no meaning. Free and Fair investigation can only be done in current scenario through Supreme Court or some investigation body working under SC. But again judiciary is being badly cornered by the government and army due to corruption and missing persons cases. That is why I say for a start we need to find the names behind Benazir murder case.

People say that these tribes and terrorists are ideologically connected. Ideologically connected is also a vague term. People with same customs, cultures or grievances  or may be some other common points can be termed as ideologically connected. With this logic most Indians can be termed as RSS, most USA can be connected to Bund or KKK, all Irish people can be termed as IRA, all British people can blamed for the crimes of East India Company, most Israelis can be linked with Stern gang, most Germans can be linked with Nazis etc. Without addressing the root causes, one cannot solve this issue and waging a war against populations after some isolated incidents doesn’t look very intelligent especially after a decade of destruction.

When are we going to learn the lessons from past mistakes? Or Pakistan army and government are committed to repeat another 1971?

Waziristan Peace March –> A great move by PTI

I think its a real good step towards coming out of this war. This war has taken every piece of dignity and pride from many people who have any sense of justice, freedom and respect for human rights. This was never our war like that so called cold war thing was not ours. But in both cases Pakistan’s leadership presented itself as mercenaries for other countries and as a result Pakistan and its people faced worst situations of their history. Many people who wouldn’t ve normally thought about leaving the country were made to leave the country not because of the hardships but because of the shame and hopelessness of not being able to stop it. I really feel bad when so called “our” army bombs villages just because they have to please their imperialist master or some idiot in GHQ thinks that violating agreements with tribes will achieve some geo-strategic goals.

For once, true liberals and people who believe in freedom, justice and self-respect should come out against these violations of human rights and this whole damn war. Pakistan was doing great in first 2-3 decades before it fully committed to the cause of serving imperialism and its military junta started to serve as mercenaries for others. Industries, Universities etc all were in good shape and in fact before this current war 90s wasn’t even that bad despite corruption. But this war has broken the backbone of the country and now even thinking about hope seems to be a delusion.

Only ignorant people or people with deep rooted sectarian and social class prejudices will oppose this peace march towards Waziristan. People who are doing this march for peace and justice should continue with their great work and ignore these sectarian and social class fascists (or fake liberals) who have put us in this mess of war. Tribal areas became part of Pakistan through some agreements and it was Pakistan Army which violated these agreements. Technically tribal people have full right to demand freedom but at least they have not yet gone for this option.

I pray for the safety and success for the participants of this Peace March and inshaAllah it will be a great success.
