Pakistan Elections 2013:Vote for Change, Vote for PTI and Vote for Bat!

44448_10151362512431196_1829058661_nSome random comments on these elections

Need Change: Zardari and Nawaz Sharif are two big symbols of this political system. People need tos ee who is sticking with them as allies and who is taking a stand against them. People need to come out for a change and vote for Naya Pakistan and Vote4PTI. Reject these NRO and IJI-2(10 Party alliance) gangs.

People standing up above their prejudices: I am glad that some of my strongly religious friends who belonged to Shia sect are now not following Sajid Naqvi and others who are supporting PPP and MQM but they are now supporting PTI. Similarly some of my Deobandi friends have stopped blindly following their brand of sectarianism and instead of following Fazl ur Rehman type, they will now give votes to PTI. Similar is the case with some Barelvi friends. This is change as its not just feudalism and extortion mafias which are exploiting people. These fake fatwa factories are also exploiting the sectarian diversity and using it to strengthen their political and financial positions. In sha Allah PTI will get the chance and deliver good for the people and the country.

For Karachi: If someone can solve two major issues of Karach then its IK only. Two major problems of Karachi are:

a) Bring peace
b) Local bodies elections and decentralization of power

Military operations by PPP and PMLN governments were the reasons behind the start of ethnic violence as it provided more sympathies to MQM. ANP,PPP and MQM are major responsible of recent mess in Karachi. PMLN was ally of PPP in center when PPP took power in 2008 and they remained allies for a long time in Punjab. Bot PPP and PMLN avoided local bodies elections in last 5 years so one can get the idea what Karachiites should do?

MQM and JI are not major parties and they only work as proxies of PPP and PMLN respectively. PTI will be in a position to take independent position on the issues.

For IK haters: The thing is simple, whatever IK does and whatever social class background he has, he stands up above his social class prejudices of Mr/Mullah, Shia/Sunni,Muslim/Non-muslim or ethnic ones and supports justice and prosperity for all. This thing is lacking in so called religious and so called liberals of Pakistan a lot.

Comment on IK’s speech in grand finale of PTI 2013 election campaign:  I am glad that Imran Khan thanked people from all school of thoughts for praying for his health. Apart from many other reasons, I support Imran Khan mainly because he stands up above from his sectarian and social class prejudices and works for justice for all whether shia or sunni, whether muslim or non-muslim, mr or mullah, poor or rich and treats them like human beings. This is something which is lacking in fake liberal and fake religious parties.
My vote is for Justice and My vote is for BAT!

We must come out of this war to control sectarian violence

The biggest contributors to the current sectarian violence mess from public and media side are those who forwarded ISI’s agenda of exploiting sufi/salafi, shia/sunni differences to bring war theater in Pakistan and justify invasion of FATA. For me unrelated or innocent people dying in military operations or resulting sectarianism are same and I condemn both. But my focus is more on the root cause which is this war and military operations. Now the policies are giving their fruits and people are whining over the results. Mentality like this from the decision makers to jump into the war and settle sectarian/social class scores with tribal and other area populations has brought us into the point that much of the war theater has moved from Afghanistan to Pakistan. Even current Zardari govt. through their scumbags like Faisal Reza Abidi or LUBP type cheap blogs are playing the same dirty sectarian games.

The problem with these scumbags and the likes sitting in the top decision making posts of Army and government is that their decision making bring those to firing lines who are not decision makers or hate mongers themselves but had few commonalities with them, which is a wrong thing in itself as you cannot put decision makers and those who are just supporters due to some prejudices or don’t support the wrong decisions but have some commonalities in beliefs or social classes in the same category. I have seen this type of bull shit on Karachi’s walls saying Mullah Umar ki aankh dajjal ki aankh hai or saying this war is against Yazeedis. Come on guys come out of these 1400 years old vague desert stories for which not much credible account is available or at least don’t mix it with decisions for today’s world.

People should know that if they support wrong principles then it will be just a matter of time when they will hurt them too. Way out of this mess is to come out of this war.

Intolerance and current mess:A note on Salman Taseer Murder

January 6, 2011 9 comments

Recent murder of former Punjab Governor, Salman Taseer has left many things for us to think over. I really disagree with Salman Taseer, his politics and many other things especially of exploiting the blasphemy issue for political gain. But the issue for which he was killed is of academic and legal nature and there was no reason for anyone to kill him for this reason. This really shows the absence of Rule of Law in our country and also it shows the flaws in training of our security forces as the person(Mumtaz Qadri) who killed him was part of Punjab Police.

Apart from intolerance another issue for me is that our establishment can use the current situation to take out those whom they disagree with, whether they belong to this or that side of the issue.

Rememeber its the policy of establishment ,to use sectarian and social class differences to expand the war for dollars, which has also contributed to the current mess.

The ideas which were floated to expand the war, especially in last 3-4 years, are really destroying our social fabric. We always had differences and diversity in terms of religion, sects and social classes but things were not that bad as today.

Sectarianism converted into sectarian violence from the time of Iranian revolution as attempts were made to replicate the revolution which many saw as sectarian based revolution. Later Afghan war, flow of weapons and boneless policy making added to the fuel. Iran-Iraq conflict and Arab-Iran tension also made the situation worse.

But even after that things were not that bad as today and even in 90s we were not that intolerant as a society. Current mess is a result of the unwanted dollar war we are fighting.

Not only Pakistan jumped into a foreign war but Pakistani establishment floated ridiculous ideas in masses to use sects against sects , ethnicities against ethnicities and social classes against social classes.

The thing is that people who were supported by the establishment to take forward the war on terror against Taliban are now among those who are also or mainly supporting the act of Mumtaz Qadri. Also now a false sense unity is being promoted in different sects on the basis of the issue, which has nothing to do with the teaching of Quran and Sunnah, to start another clash between social classes.

Quran even teaches us to be reasonable and “Just” with those who are involved in doing bad with us or who don’t agree with us but are peaceful with us.

Do not allow your hatred of a folk who  stopped your going to the Inviolable Place of Worship seduce you to transgress; but help ye one another unto righteousness and pious duty.  Help not one another unto sin and transgression, but keep your duty to God(5:2)

God does not forbid you to be kind to those who do not take arms against you.  God loves those who are just (60:8)

There is no compulsion in religion” (2:256)

Had God willed, they had not been idolatrous.  We have not set thee as a keeper over them, nor art thou responsible for them” (6:107)

Using Wahabis and Sufis against each other, Liberals and Mullahs against each other or invoking Deobandi/Barelwi  and Shia/Sunni clashes to serve the “Divide and Rule” policy or to introduce the bogus concepts of “Pakistani Brand of Islam” in line with the wishes and  ideals of establishment and their foreign masters can only result in destruction of our country.

Ideas like fight against Takfeeris especially to justify Lal Masjid Operation and Swat Operations, fight against Yazidis, fight against people who don’t believe in Prophet (S.A.W) according to the standards they have set or spreading things like Mullah Umar’s one eye is the eye of Dajjal or spreading fake ideas like Ghazwa e Hind (To glorify the role of Pakistan Army and the dollar wars they fight) which are not part of any authentic teachings of Islam, all have contributed to this disastrous situation.

I mean it’s a real big mess we are into and it will take real honest and just approach to get out of this. We are in a real self destruction mode and we have to come out of it.
