Statements by Chief Justice of Pakistan and Army Chief –> We support the Supreme Court, Chief Justice and the Constitution

November 6, 2012 2 comments

In past few days there were some statements given by Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhar and Army Chief General Ashfaq Prevez Kiyani. According to media reports, Kiyanis words were (from Pakistan Today):

“Any effort which wittingly or unwittingly draws a wedge between the people and armed forces of Pakistan undermines the larger national interest.”

Also he said:

“No individual or institution has the monopoly to decide what is right or wrong while defining the ultimate national interest.”

These words may not seem very harmful but if we look them in the context of Asghar Khan case and recent proceedings of missing persons cases in the
Supreme Court then one can get some idea about the possible target of the statements.

On the other hand, SC released a speech of CJP which he gave earlier but the timing of releasing the speech to media seems to be interesting and apparently it is related with the statement by Army Chief. In the speech, honorable Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary renewed his stance to protect the constitution.

According to media reports, he said:

“Gone are the days when stability and security of the country was defined in terms of number of missiles and tanks as a manifestation of hard power available at the disposal of the state,” the chief justice said while speaking to a delegation of the 97th National Management Course, National School of Public Policy and National Management College Lahore at the Supreme Court building.

Also he said:

“The composition, powers and jurisdiction of the Supreme Court are set out by the Constitution itself and the court exercises original, appellate, review and advisory jurisdictions and its decisions are binding on all other courts of Pakistan,”

I am glad that he acknowledges the struggle by the justice loving people of Pakistan who didn’t buy Musharraf’s national interest or national security type bogus cards and supported the judiciary.

“The present day Supreme Court is alive to the fact that it has been restored to its original position by unprecedented struggle carried out by a consort of such professional classes as lawyers, students, media persons and civil society at large.”

If I have to choose between judiciary and useless army, I will choose judiciary and constitution. It seems army chief is upset because of Asghar Khan case and missing persons cases. Also people like IK have openly said that if he will be in power then generals will also be made accountable in front of the law. Indeed these are some disturbing times for anti-Pakistan corrupt mercenary generals. Army will be the biggest hurdle in any genuine change against the forces of evil and status-quo. Prime example of Army’s support to status-quo is NRO which was given to the corrupt political and bureaucratic elite.

Kiyani needs to understand that if they follow the constitution and respect the principles of justice, human rights and freedom then people will not criticize them. Exceptions are those who are working on foreign agenda but if we look into it then we can see that most of them were supported by Army because of the pro-war stance by these people. If army wants respect then they have to come out of this American war and leave their role of mercenary army. They also need to focus on defending the country instead of taking part in political activities or taking control of land and economic resources of the country. Also accountability of culprits in the institution is also required to improve the image of the institution. We need a credible or even a strong defense but not at the cost of freedom, justice and  human rights.

We support CJP and SC. Its our moral and constitutional responsibility to protect the constitution and country from these evil Khakis who only know how to serve their lust of power. They only love that Pakistan which is under their boots and we have to change this situation and inshaAllah it will be changed in a good way.

Swat and Extremism

October 14, 2012 2 comments

Swat is a good example to see how extremism develops. In 2006 I went to the area with my friends. We offered prayers in mosque (belonging to Jud or Fazlullah). We had people from different sects like Shia, Sunni or non-taqleedis but no one in the mosque bothered to question our different ways of praying and everyone was normal about it.

Similarly there were tourists with different social-class backgrounds and dressed up like the way they do in Karachi, Islamabad etc and no one bothered to question their dresses. There were girls school in the area and no one bothered to blow them up. Things started to go bad in the area when Army demolished the local structure which created vacuum for these groups to take over and especially when Lal-Masjid operation was conducted (The operation itself was sectarian and social-class fascism backed) , it gave a message to the people that there ways are in danger now and so they went on to the path of extremism. Its very easy for us to consider others as evil aliens and point fingers at them but to resolve a problem, an honest analysis is required to see where it all started and where the root cause lies.

Swat, Tribal areas etc were promised that their autonomy will remain in tact if they join Pakistan but Army on various occasions from 60s violated these agreements and started to meddle in there affairs especially in Musharraf’s time they deliberately targeted their religious schools and institutions. It seems that army used this war not only to bag dollars from Americans but also to pursue their old goal of invading these tribal areas because they seem to love only that Pakistan which is under their boots otherwise they will do another Bangladesh with that part of the country like they are also doing with Baluchistan.

People are again chanting slogans for more War in North Waziristan especially after Malala Yousafzai attack. They should ask their self about the goals they have achieved after decades of military operations in FATA, Baluchistan and Swat. These operations have resulted in more extremism and more terrorism, and they are not going to give different results in the future except things will go worse.

Malala Issue, drones, NWA operation and fog of this fake war on terror

October 13, 2012 1 comment

Recent events of march against drone strikes and attack on Malala Yousafzai have raised some important questions in my mind. These questions are mainly related to the timing of the event and how past events were dealt by the government and security institutions.

If Benazir Murder case is resolved then a lot can be understood about this fake war. For a start, one should ask that how was it possible that some rogue terrorists were able to delete or tempered the mobile communication record from the area? As far as I know that only ISI or some other high level intelligence organization like CIA (Like NADRA data they can surely access this data too) can do it.

These incidents like Benazir, Malala, Islamic University blast or Peshawar market blasts (denied by Talibans) happen at crucial times when anti-war protests take momentum or some crucial decisions are being made about further operations.

Another interesting event is the letter written by Afghan (Pentagon puppet) President Hamid Karzai to PTI’s Chairman, Imran Khan. For those who think that Malala issue is not related to drones and military operations or this fake war, there are few things to ponder upon (If they have the brain to do so). Why the president of a country would like to write a letter to Imran Khan and show the concerns which are shown by social-class and sectarian fascists in Pakistan and pro-imperialism media in USA? It seems Imran Khan and PTI’s march against drone strikes not only disturbed the plans of Pakistani sectarian and social-class fascists but also disturbed the pro-war scum internationally.

Another thing to understand about drone, NWA operation and Malala issue is that Imran Khan is scheduled to lead a protest in front of UN on 26th October 2012.

We need to find answers for these questions. For a start on Malala’s issue, government’s own interior minister Rehman Malik denied the involvement of TTP. Even if it is TTP then there are more than 15 (some say 30) groups working as TTP.

Some are fighting for revenge, some are being funded by international enemies of the country who want Pakistan to remain stuck in this war and some are local criminal gangs. Unless they are not identified clearly, word Taliban has no meaning. Free and Fair investigation can only be done in current scenario through Supreme Court or some investigation body working under SC. But again judiciary is being badly cornered by the government and army due to corruption and missing persons cases. That is why I say for a start we need to find the names behind Benazir murder case.

People say that these tribes and terrorists are ideologically connected. Ideologically connected is also a vague term. People with same customs, cultures or grievances  or may be some other common points can be termed as ideologically connected. With this logic most Indians can be termed as RSS, most USA can be connected to Bund or KKK, all Irish people can be termed as IRA, all British people can blamed for the crimes of East India Company, most Israelis can be linked with Stern gang, most Germans can be linked with Nazis etc. Without addressing the root causes, one cannot solve this issue and waging a war against populations after some isolated incidents doesn’t look very intelligent especially after a decade of destruction.

When are we going to learn the lessons from past mistakes? Or Pakistan army and government are committed to repeat another 1971?

Waziristan Peace March –> A great move by PTI

October 6, 2012 1 comment

I think its a real good step towards coming out of this war. This war has taken every piece of dignity and pride from many people who have any sense of justice, freedom and respect for human rights. This was never our war like that so called cold war thing was not ours. But in both cases Pakistan’s leadership presented itself as mercenaries for other countries and as a result Pakistan and its people faced worst situations of their history. Many people who wouldn’t ve normally thought about leaving the country were made to leave the country not because of the hardships but because of the shame and hopelessness of not being able to stop it. I really feel bad when so called “our” army bombs villages just because they have to please their imperialist master or some idiot in GHQ thinks that violating agreements with tribes will achieve some geo-strategic goals.

For once, true liberals and people who believe in freedom, justice and self-respect should come out against these violations of human rights and this whole damn war. Pakistan was doing great in first 2-3 decades before it fully committed to the cause of serving imperialism and its military junta started to serve as mercenaries for others. Industries, Universities etc all were in good shape and in fact before this current war 90s wasn’t even that bad despite corruption. But this war has broken the backbone of the country and now even thinking about hope seems to be a delusion.

Only ignorant people or people with deep rooted sectarian and social class prejudices will oppose this peace march towards Waziristan. People who are doing this march for peace and justice should continue with their great work and ignore these sectarian and social class fascists (or fake liberals) who have put us in this mess of war. Tribal areas became part of Pakistan through some agreements and it was Pakistan Army which violated these agreements. Technically tribal people have full right to demand freedom but at least they have not yet gone for this option.

I pray for the safety and success for the participants of this Peace March and inshaAllah it will be a great success.

Think before its too late (again)

Ever wondered why Bengalis who played a leading role in the creation of Pakistan took a separate path? Try and see why the people of Waziristan who made Azad Kashmir possible are now fighting against the state or why Balochis who chose Pakistan are now feeling dissatisfaction with the country then you will find some answers. I believe an assessment without any prejudice or nationalism will reveal that its not them who were or are at the wrong end.

It seems that words like treason, blasphemy or crime itself are reserved for weak and oppressed. The ones who often don’t follow the herd become eligible of being called as deviants or misguided. It is a shame that those sitting in the highest echelons of power or so called highest levels of political or religious orders have attained the right to determine right and wrong with an absolute sense of being the bearer of truth despite selling their souls many times to their lust for power and wealth. People digest the destruction of several villages or towns just because someone from them said that he doesn’t accept the system which has enslaved them. But don’t bother to ask those who execute the punishment that how many times they have violated the oath they take to protect the constitution? How many times they have attacked our freedom? How many times they have allowed their land to be used as a base for invading others and our own country? Blind people still follow these so called men of power and honor and call their blind following as Nationalism, Patriotism or Loyalty to the Land or Nation. Many of those who don’t follow these rhetoric are victims of their sectarian and social class prejudices and yet they are known as liberals. So called pious and religious have considered the meanings of being religious as being invaders of others privacy and freedom. No doubt we are in a mess and going deeper into it daily.

Attitude towards the people of Pashtoon areas during Eid times is another classic example and then we expect them to be patriotic. People don’t accept their Eid (right or wrong, for me its not important than respecting their decision for their-selves), they are being killed because they don’t fit to international plans, drones are allowed to bomb them just because they are different in culture or customs or sects, many don’t want them as so called usual participants in the makeup of our societies then why the heck it is necessary to keep them forcefully as a part of our country when they are so undesirable. Let the separation be done for good. Borders or contracts or NICs are not important as compared to respect, freedom, justice and equal status as human beings.

Even the term terrorist has different meanings here in Pakistan. Term “terrorists”, in war on terror in Pakistan, expanded from Al-quaida members to Alqaida+Talibans, then it moved to tribesmen and later to Pashtoons. It then turned sectarian and their whole sects were termed terrorists and then anyone who opposed this war was labeled with this term either as terrorists or supporter of terrorism. A new dictionary meaning has been given to the term based on sect, ethnicity, customs or way of life. The interesting part is that those who were defining terrorism were involved, as executives or supporters, in the bombing of civilian population or violations of human rights.

Pakistan lost its eastern part just after 24 years of freedom and now it is again facing a critical situation. We need to think where we are and where we want to go ahead and how we want to go ahead before its too late (again).

Syrian issue and Pakistan’s position

August 13, 2012 9 comments

Recently in Iran, while attending a conference on Syria, Pakistani foreign minister Hina Rabbani Khar has said that Pakistan will not support any kind of foreign government intervention in Syria.

I agree with the decision of not involving Pakistani state but at the same time I will disagree with the govt. if they stop people to help Syrians on their own in terms of money, weapons or any other way they can.

Foreign involvement will turn the focus of movement and will likely to hijack the issue from local Syrian opposition like Iran hijacked the Bahrain movement resulting the failure of the movement. But we can see in Egypt, things are changing in positive direction.

At the same time governments should now stop supporting Assad’s brutal regime by cutting diplomatic and defense ties which is essential to remain neutral as Assad is using these things to strengthen his position in killing innocent people. At the same time I cannot oppose Syrian opposition to accept help from where ever it comes from as they are victim side and prime responsibility lies on the shoulders of Assad who initiated the brutal actions against civilian populations which includes merciless aerial bombings.

Happy illusion of independence day!

August 13, 2012 2 comments

To all Pakistanis :  Happy illusion of independence day!

May Allah give us the true day of independence with sense of justice and respect for humanity beyond the social-class, sectarian, ethnic and other prejudices.

It seems that 65 years ago we had a brief moment of truth and triumph which lost after few more moments of confusion. Pakistan changed its masters from British Raj to other powers of imperialism which were also allies of British Raj. Military and Feudal ruling elite played their usual role of proxy rulers which they were playing in British Raj days with support from sometimes so-called liberals (in fact sectarian and social-class fascists) and sometimes through theocratic mindsets (actually exploiters of religious beliefs for political and financial gains). Pakistani ruling elite especially military establishment played the role of mercenaries for foreign powers, fighting their wars and as a result giving heavy losses  to the country. Now we are in a mess of fake war on terror meant to fulfill the lust of money and sectarian/social-class prejudices of few in ruling elite but taking the whole country into a self-destructive mode. Even losing half the country after almost only two and a half decades, Pakistani establishment didn’t learn its lessons and nothing has ever fulfilled their greed.

65 years of illusion, a long time to live a lie. Its time to free our minds and set course for a new frontier of freedom and prosperity with incorruptible sense of justice and respect for humanity. We may not achieve this as humans but certainly we can give it a try.

We must come out of this war to control sectarian violence

The biggest contributors to the current sectarian violence mess from public and media side are those who forwarded ISI’s agenda of exploiting sufi/salafi, shia/sunni differences to bring war theater in Pakistan and justify invasion of FATA. For me unrelated or innocent people dying in military operations or resulting sectarianism are same and I condemn both. But my focus is more on the root cause which is this war and military operations. Now the policies are giving their fruits and people are whining over the results. Mentality like this from the decision makers to jump into the war and settle sectarian/social class scores with tribal and other area populations has brought us into the point that much of the war theater has moved from Afghanistan to Pakistan. Even current Zardari govt. through their scumbags like Faisal Reza Abidi or LUBP type cheap blogs are playing the same dirty sectarian games.

The problem with these scumbags and the likes sitting in the top decision making posts of Army and government is that their decision making bring those to firing lines who are not decision makers or hate mongers themselves but had few commonalities with them, which is a wrong thing in itself as you cannot put decision makers and those who are just supporters due to some prejudices or don’t support the wrong decisions but have some commonalities in beliefs or social classes in the same category. I have seen this type of bull shit on Karachi’s walls saying Mullah Umar ki aankh dajjal ki aankh hai or saying this war is against Yazeedis. Come on guys come out of these 1400 years old vague desert stories for which not much credible account is available or at least don’t mix it with decisions for today’s world.

People should know that if they support wrong principles then it will be just a matter of time when they will hurt them too. Way out of this mess is to come out of this war.

US moves USS Enterprise into Pakistani waters–>Seems to be a move to pressurize people of Pakistan

June 14, 2012 2 comments

According to media reports, USS Enterprise has been moved into Pakistani waters. It seems they are here to protect threaten Pakistani people so that they don’t go for options like Tunisia or Egypt. there are here with full support from govt. and military like they are doing drone attacks. they are here to protect there puppets in Rawalpindi and Islamabad.

Pakistani mercenary army is in their pockets and doing well, government is installed by them through NRO/Mushi safe-exit deal and they have other assets in Pakistan too.

People should stay strong and those who want a system of justice in the country should keep working for a free and just Pakistan.

KARACHI – After failing to strike a deal on Nato supply with Pakistan, violating international laws the US has moved its USS Enterprise, the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier, into Pakistani territorial waters near Gawadar, media quoting sources said on Thursday.

“After the deployment of the aircraft in Pakistani sea the country’s security agencies are now investigating into the matter. The movement apparently shows the increasing interest of the US in Balochistan province of Pakistan,” sources said.
“The US has moved its biggest aircraft carrier 65 to 70 nautical miles away from Gawadar in the second week of June,” a well informed source told news-based website.
The USS Enterprise, which holds a crew of over 4,000, had taken part in several wars.

Malik Riaz’s assault on judiciary and SC registrar response–> We stand by the SC and CJP

June 12, 2012 4 comments

In a recent press conference Malik Riaz has attacked the Supreme Judiciary of Pakistan and Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudhary. In his press conference he mentioned about meeting with CJP and tried to give an impression that he was meeting with him during the cases. In response to that Registrar of Supreme Court has clearly mentioned that these meetings took place when CJP was illegally deposed by Musharraf. It seems that the corrupt real estate mafi lord, Malik Riaz, is trying to blackmail the court. He met CJ only when he was deposed and there was a lawyer’s movement going on. CJ met many people during the movement including many lawyers but even those lawyers say that they didn’t get any relief.

Registrar SC also clarified that he was also present in the meetings.

Malik Riaz met deposed CJ: SC Registrar

Source:http://www.onlinenews.com.pk/details.php?newsid=194953

ISLAMABAD: Responding to one of the queries of property tycoon Malik Riaz about the meetings of Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry with him, Supreme Court Registrar Faqir Hussain said that the meetings took place when the Chief Justice was deposed.

In a statement issued here shortly after Riaz’s press conference in which he levelled serious allegations against the CJ, the SC Registrar said two to three such meetings took place between Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry and Malik Riaz when he was deposed.

He said the meeting proposed a meeting between Asif Ali Zardari and the Justice Chaudhry. Talking to a private television, he said the chief justice flatly declined to have such meeting saying it would be inappropriate.

He said Iftikhar Chaudhry met Malik Riaz Hussain “two or three times” while he was suspended. The registrar said he was also present during the meetings with Malik Riaz and the Chief Justice.

—————————————————

Now if we look at the press conference by MR, we can clearly see that he is trying to create an environment against CJP. A day before , PM Gillani has also tried to show that he has the option of sending a reference against CJP. Although said it in a way that he doesn’t think that reference is required anymore but it is clear that he mentioned about the reference to give a message to SC and CJP. They both need to know that Musharraf tried his evil deeds against the judiciary and honorable CJP but Allah helped them in their noble cause of justice.

Assault on the judiciary by Malik Riaz seems to be fully backed by establishment who don’t want an independent judiciary in the country due to the cases of missing person, lal masjid, NRO and Mehran gate.

It seems that there is also international backing on this issue by those powers who don’t want a change in the country and want Pakistan to stuck in the NRO setup and war on terror. All the NATO supply thing is a drama and we all know (except some mentally blind people) that drones were flying from Pakistani airbases given to CIA/US Army by Pakistani Armed Forces (Mercenaries).

These forces of evil need to know that they can plan evil but someone above is the best of planners and insaAllah he will not let the evil win.

“Remember how those who bent on denying the truth plotted against you to imprison you or kill you or expel you: they schemed but God also schemed. God is the best of schemers.” (Quran, Al-Anfal 8:30 )
