We support Rimshah Masih and demand changing or repealing blasphemy laws in Pakistan which are a real insult to Islam

There are disturbing reports from Pakistan that an 11 years old Rimshah Masih, possibly suffering from Down syndrome is being accused of blasphemy. Blasphemy laws in Pakistan seem to have bring more insult to Islam than the people they wrongly or unreasonably accused for blasphemy.

They seem to be some criminal minded morons who accused an eleven years old Christian girl for a so called crime, she might not be aware off doing. A serious revision of these laws is required on the basis of Quran and Sunnah for revision or repealing these laws which have brought shame for Muslims.

Also those who are using this laws for their evil motives should be brought to justice as well.

People have the right to exercise their religion especially when Quran has given us clear directions about freedom of religion and justice.

“There is no compulsion in religion” (Al-baqarah, 256)

“O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for Allah in equity, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. Deal justly, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do.” [Al-maeda ,8]

But it seems emotions have taken over the teachings of Quran and Sunnah. Our Prophet (S.A.W) showed kindness to his worst enemies and even cared about the well being of an old lady who used to throw garbage at him.

We support Rimshah Masih and demand changing or repealing blasphemy laws in Pakistan.

The followers of Blasphemy law would present more verses of Quran to justify their stance of killing others on the name of this law.this law simply implies dominance of weak faith following groups who use state or religious laws to threat others to live under fear and threat. You would see no influential or rich can come to axe under this law but weaker community would be subjected on the name of supremacy of Islam.

This law was created by British Raj modified to play religious card by a dictator so I don’t find any reason why it will not be a law to suppress weak. I have seen even religious clerics becoming victims. In one case I saw a molvi was targeted by Sunni Tehreek just because he opposed the reasoning behind 12 rabiulawwal. I believe this type of behavior is not related to the love of religion but only ego or personal interests. But some sign of hope came through a news that now religious leaders are backing Rimshah Masih.

What ever the motive is but real point is this license to kill has been allocated to religious groups who are afraid of others’ influence in the society. This fear in religious groups strongly reflects the inhumane safeguard measures for securing their weak faith. So this is one example that hwo religious theme is twisted towards ruling or strong groups to make dominance via terror route in any region.

In many of the cases its usually uneducated people who dont even know how to recite sura e fatiha file such accusations and later on other people start to follow them blindly. not only religion is an important tool to invoke unreasonable approach but other things like language, race etc have also played an important part. it seems everyone is afraid of the others and they think that the only way to survive is to suppress others. i find the main reason for this type of issues is that Pakistan has been a tightly centralized state and everyone wants to capture the center so that it can survived by controlling others. this attitude is in different sects, social classes and ethnic groups. unless we dont change the power structure and bring rule of law based on justice then things will not change but what to say when government party under Zardari is playing sectarian cards against CJP through their Faisal Raza Abidi type leaders just to save Zardari’s corruption money and security agencies supporting Zaid Hamid type people to forward their political agenda.

Yes this is game of playing sectarian, ethnic and religious cards those secure Blasphemy like laws in any system.Using he tool of state powers and people weakness to take personal revenge on the name of religious laws.Pak /Ind land is very fertile for this kind of crises But in all this game one thing is very interested that before taking such actions first a proper hatred campaign is run by influential group via people and media and then they ignite fire of riots where targets are eliminated along with many innoconet victims.

thats how things work not only in indo pak region but in other areas too. populations are mostly comprised of low-IQ non-productive resources who can be manipulated easily because of their lack of capability to use brain.
